The Westpac Rescue Helicopter offers a life-saving service 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. So we want to make sure we have the best flying machines available and the most state-of-the-art rescue and medical equipment on board.

We have two helicopters, both with excellent facilities to locate and rescue those in need, whether it be a bushwalker lost in one of Tasmania’s magnificent World Heritage Areas, a fisherman in serious peril on the state’s coast or assisting Tasmania’s police and ambulance services with motor vehicle accidents.

Both of our helicopters and all of our equipment is regularly maintained to the highest Civil Aviation Authority standards, and our constant fundraising efforts allow us to afford the best equipment money can buy.
