We are proud to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website. The new site will be home to a range of great features, as well as important information about our services, and about how to stay safe in Tasmania.
Your journey begins here
Start your journey of our beautiful new website by watching a stunning video of our helicopter in action set against the background of Tasmania's wilderness.
Get connected with the crew
We have a new series coming up of features and interviews with the Pilots, Police, Paramedics and Support crew, who make up the highly specialised team here at Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service Tasmania. Find out what it takes to be a member of the team.
Get inside our helicopters and equipment
You can get all the technical specifications of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and our advanced land and sea rescue equipment. We will also shortly be launching a fantastic new interactive 360 tour through our state-of-the-art helicopter. Signup to our email newsletter or watch this space for a launch date.
Get the real story on our rescues
Find out more about our rescue activities by checking out our interactive rescue maps and reading the stories of some of the people we’ve rescued. Anyone who has experienced Westpac Rescue Helicopter Tasmania can share their story, say thank you, and even make a donation through our new site.
Get safe for summer
With Tasmania’s summer bushwalking season fast approaching and an increase in boating activities, we’d like to take this opportunity to remind bushwalkers and boaters to be prepared.
We urge all Tasmanians and visitors to the state to prepare for their bushwalking, camping and boating activities by checking the weather forecasts and packing appropriate equipment. It’s important to fully plan your trip and to advise a responsible person of your planned journey. For more information on staying safe in the beautiful Tasmanian wilderness - check out our Visitors Pages.
