Richard Easther
Richard has over 20 years’ experience in a number of senior and executive management roles in finance, administration and corporate governance at the University of Tasmania and immediately prior to his retirement from full-time professional life was head of Corporate Support at the Department of Treasury and Finance.
Richard is an experienced Board and committee member and is currently a member of the Risk and Audit Committees of the Education Department and Clarence City Council. He is also a Board Inspector for the Property Agents Board in Tasmania focusing on the prudential management of trust accounts and statutory records of real estate agents and auctioneers across the state.
Richard has a Bachelor of Economics from UTAS, is a Fellow of the Australian Society of SPA’s, has an Australian Institute of Company Directors Diploma and an Honorary Fellowship from the Association of Tertiary Education Management.
Richard is a keen fisherman, both fresh and salt water, enjoys boating, travel, golf, tennis, bush walking and spending time at the family shack at White Beach.
Richard enjoys contribution to organisations which can utilise his skills and experience and giving back to the community. He regards the work of Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service as being enormously important in saving lives and keeping the community safe.
